Privacy Policy
This page explains what Fast track Express processes on device, which permissions it uses, and what data it does not collect or share.
Overview
Product scope
Fast track Express is a local menu bar productivity tool for user-initiated translation, clipboard history, pinned slots, and quick paste workflows. This policy applies to the Fast track Express app itself and does not replace the privacy terms of the Apple App Store or macOS.
What We Do Not Collect
No developer backend or tracking
- Fast track Express does not require an account and does not provide a developer-operated account system.
- Fast track Express does not run a developer backend that receives your selected text, translation results, clipboard history, or translation history.
- Fast track Express does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting SDKs, tracking, profiling, or personalized advertising.
- Fast track Express does not share user data with third parties, except where Apple processes App Store purchases as part of its platform services.
Data Processed and Stored Locally
On-device data only
To provide its features, Fast track Express may process or store the following data locally on your Mac:
- Text that you actively select for translation
- Text and images copied to the clipboard when clipboard capture is enabled
- Local translation history for the history window
- App preferences such as target language, interface language, shortcuts, and clipboard options
- Local purchase and unlock state needed to control feature availability
- Purchase proof metadata written to your private CloudKit database when iCloud is available
This data is processed and stored on your device by default and is not uploaded to a developer-operated server.
Permissions and Purpose
iCloud and Automation
- Accessibility: the Mac App Store build does not request or use Accessibility APIs.
- iCloud / CloudKit: used only to sync a purchase proof record to your private iCloud database when iCloud is available. CloudKit is not used to determine unlock status in the current Mac App Store build.
- Automation / Apple Events: used only to communicate with Apple’s
Shortcuts Eventsprocess to run the built-in system translation shortcut.
CloudKit does not give Fast track Express access to your iCloud Drive files, photos, documents, clipboard history, selected text, or translation results.
Third-Party Sharing and Apple Services
Platform services only
The current version of Fast track Express uses macOS system capabilities for its core translation workflow and does not integrate third-party online translation APIs. Mac App Store purchases are processed by Apple, and the developer does not receive your full payment details.
If Fast track Express adds third-party analytics, crash reporting, cloud services, or online translation providers in the future, this policy and the App Store Connect privacy answers will be updated accordingly.
Retention, Deletion, and Control
How local data is handled
- Clipboard history remains on your device until you delete entries, clear unlocked history, reach an expiration policy, or uninstall the app.
- Translation history remains in the local app support directory until you remove the local data or uninstall the app.
- You can disable clipboard capture in the app settings to reduce future local records.
- You can revoke Automation permissions in macOS System Settings.
Children
Audience
Fast track Express is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
Future updates
If Fast track Express changes its data handling or third-party dependencies, this page will be updated and the effective date will be revised.
